The exhaust is tuned by Ferrari, not Fart Can. Sport mode is a hoot to drive. I can't seem to wipe the grin off my face...

Nice! I have been driving one of those on track, and it was fun! The earlier models at least were pretty uncomfortable for everyday driving.

It does sit up high for a "sports car." I've read a lot of disapproving comments regarding that, but for me it is perfect. I can't get in and out of low cars anymore, so sitting up high is perfect for me. Another concession I had to make is I had to have an automatic. All the online reviews preferred the manual, even though performance difference is measured in tenths of a second, and the only recall is on the manual tranny...not the automatic.

Regardless, it works out perfect for me and my tastes, and having a car that is actually fun to drive is a welcome change. My commute is only about ten miles one way, but typically takes half an hour through town....now I can take the freeway and shave ten minutes off of that.

Better, I'm thinking seriously about the factory dress up kit that includes a big red scorpion on the roof, Abarth wheel caps and valve stem caps, and fuel filler cap.

My main issue with the car was that at least the 2011 model had so hard suspension that every bump was painful, but I think it had some extra suspension package because it was a fully loaded dealer car.

I worked at a Fiat dealership before I did a total career change.

Suspension is definitely hard, but a sports car should be to grip the road. I grew up with go carts, basically with no suspension, so I'm comfortable with that aspect...but then my longest drive so far was coming home from Tampa. I don't see this being a highway car, it isn't comfortable in that sense, but for 1/2 hour in the morning and evening it is fun and tolerable. Previous owner put a lowering kit on it, local Chrysler dealer said they could change the oil until they realized they couldn't get it on their lift. Going to another local shop Monday who says they can do it. Point being, I need to watch speed bumps, parking bumpers and pot holes, and I've been taking questionable driveways at an angle.

Then you sure gonna like it in a long run! Aside from the suspension, the steering also is kinda go kart like to me, in a very positive way.

Funny I have seen old Fiats and they look similar. Congratulations Wes. My new car days are done. Nothing like a new car smell.

It does have a bit of a retro vibe to it, but side by side the new one is probably twice as big. A new Mini is still bigger.
