The 67 Camaro with the opening hood also has the metal base. the rest have plastic bases.

wow just wow! Very happy to see more use of the opening hood camaro!! I will totally be on the look out for that one. Nothing wrong with that '69 either. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

The hood has opened on the 67 Camaro going back to around 1980, and the redline it was copied from before that goes back to the first year.

The 65 Mustang convertible had an opening hood from the early 1980s until last year, when it was sealed. A lot of opening hoods are being sealed over the past few years, no doubt to reduce production costs.
