Hi Avalanche man, do you know the correct name for these Cadillac limo's? (as I like to be as accurate as I can on my website) I would guess at Fleetwood Stretched-limousine (but maybe there is a more correct name?) Thanks ...If anyone else knows, please feel free to join in!

These were pretty nice, though I didn't really collect them, except for one Sonic Flasher mafia limo, forget which car it is, but I think it has bullet marks in the tampo, and the sound it made was a machine gun shooting or maybe it was screeching tires, I forget. |

regarding the name the closest I could find was: Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Limousine, maybe by "American Custom Coachworks" (Beverly Hills, USA). Here is a site with a good overview: http://www.newcadillacdatabase.org/static/CDB/Dbas_txt/prof8084.htm |

Hello folks, I believe it is a "Cadillac Fleetwood Moloney Executive Limousine" based on a 1980 to 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Moloney Coachbuilders began in 1969 when Earle Moloney purchased the assets of Chicago-based Lehmann-Peterson, which had huge success with its lengthened Lincoln Continentals beginning in 1963 with exponential success. Part of the success was the design of the vehicle, which was lengthen in the center as opposed to the Cadillac 75 which was a lengthened two-door chassis. Also contributing to Lehmann-Peterson success was that the product was so durable that it was endorsed by Ford Motor Company, and backed up with the same two year, 24,000 miles warranty as standard Lincolns. Corgi made a 1967 Lincoln Continental Lehmann-Peterson Limousine in 1/43 scale. President Nixon's Lincoln Limousine was a Lehmann-Peterson, and a 1964 model can be seen in the opening credits of the James Bond movie "Thunderball". Moloney had particularly large success in the 1980s with Cadillac, Lincoln, and Mercedes conversions, among others, as well as being a leader in armor-plated vehicles. The company continued in the tradition of Lehmann-Peterson by building some Presidential limousines, including President Reagan. |

No, it can't be a "Moloney Executive Limousine". Limousines from this maker had a thick B-pillar but only a thin C-pillar in front of the rear door. The Majorette model has thick b- and C-pillars. |

Hah, just wanted to see if you were paying attention over there! It's actually a Armbruster / Stageway Embassy Limousine based on a Cadillac Brougham chassis. It'd be a 1987 to 1989 model Brougham. |

A 80's Cadillac limousine, despite which company has built it, represents wealth in America to me like no other. When I was a kid, those had a huge wow-factor here. I hadn't noticed before that the Sonic Flashers don't have the boomerang on the trunk lid at all. |

I agree. I liked these cars while limousines still had true class, but then limousines gradually became longer and quite ugly with ridiculous add ons, like circular couch seating, becoming the purview of the prom and wedding rental set. I remember when this car came out originally, and although I wished it had been a few years earlier when I was actually playing with cars, it was like a long-time desire was finally fulfilled. I still have a number of them in various colors, boxed and unboxed. |
