I know I said in a previous post that I don't particularly collect Majorette models, but I found a few today during my France trip and I just could not help it, I had to buy them.

I wish I could see your pics right now.

Majorette has really stepped up their game in the past few years. I only wish they were more available here in the states.

Nice grabs. That beige BMW 733 was an oddball issue - I think it was around 2000 when they did it, when the casting had been retired for several years.

By the way, there are a few more in that shop i went to, so are there any models that are rare or any colour variation? There are two other Datsuns for instance, red and blue, and a few other models. Thanks in advance for the info.

The only really rare thing is the umbrella on the Citroen Dyane (casting called Citroen maharadjah). 99% of these models have lost the umbrella.

So, does your answer mean there aren't any rare Majorette models or any rare colour variation?

Right. Your models are no rare models an no rare color variations. Only ordinary playworn stuff. Sorry! The only rare thing is the umbrella itself.

I did not ask whether my models were rare, and I am aware of the umbrella issue. What I am asking, if anyone knows the answer, is if there are any rare Majorette models (either castings or colours), but thanks anyway.

Really beautiful finds! And as some have mentioned, the umbrella on the Citroen is lucky.

Each model has at least one rare variation, but as there are nearly hundred models, there are also more than hundred rare variations ...somtimes its due to the wheels, due to the color, due to color of an interieur in combination with another characteristic or due to a feature that was removed on later models.

But its hard to listen all those models in only one thread..

You're welcome. :) There are probably many regional promotional and souvenir models that would be hard to find or "rare" in most other regions.
