Maybe some of the most exciting TLV news from Tomytec this year, which is already pretty awesome....

GOOGLE translation:

This year Mazda's 50th anniversary of the launch of a vehicle equipped with a rotary engine.
In May, we will commercialize the first Cosmo Sports in the TLV series, but in September we will be the only Le Mans 24 hour championship in Japan car first time and now (May 2017) We will release the Mazda 787 B car.

Three of them were produced in 787 B. First of all, the most famous Le Mans champion car, No. 55 No. 787 - 002 was reproduced.
Even now, running on numerous events, 787 B, which is attracting people with its beautiful engine sound, this time it is possible to detach the front and rear cowls and see the engine and main mechanisms.

Challenging the limit of 1/64 scale for both interior and exterior decorated with unique coloring. Please come and arrange for Mazda 787 B, one shiny shining in the history of Japanese cars.
Mazda Co.,
Ltd. Application for commercialization license application in progress Renown Co., Ltd. Application for license application

I just assumed you were on top of things, but I guess you must be slacking. I just payed my invoice for this month's order from AmiAmi so was browsing when I did. I figured it had been up for awhile but I guess not? I love that both the front and rear are removable.

I think Ami Ami puts them online at the same time Tomytec makes a public announcement, which is usually early Friday Tokyo time. It probably just went online before you did.

Get it now, because later it will be harder and cost even more...

Yeah, the two Kyoshos that have sold on eBay lately have gotten $70+. This one will at least have more features amd from the pictures looks to be better. Lots of demand for this particular car.

But it's fairly likely that by the time it's released, there will be another Japanese LeMans winner.

I sure hope that's the case. Toyota got really bad luck last year.

The 787B is my favourite of the Le Mans race cars. I have it as a Spark model in 1/87 but might just have to order this one to accompany it.

This model should look good next to the Spark 64 cars coming out in a few months from now.

Let's see if I get this correctly....

Renown was a sponsor for Mazda at the time, and they were (are) a Japanese clothing manufacturer.... so I assume it represents the stitching on fabric.

Stitching for clothing sure is a lot better than the Porsche 917 Pink Pig (where they represent the various cuts of meat).
