Kidco Camper Pick-up

Hi Everyone, I got this camper at the flea market a couple of weeks ago, (free from a friend in a lot he purchased there).

It looks pretty much the same as a Kidco I already have, although the Kidco is a 4x4, and this new used one is a low chassis, so I assume it is just a generic issue of a Universal product.

I have a suspicion this one predates the Kidco, being made in Hong Kong rather than the Kidco Macao version, as well as having remnants of a sticker rather than tampo printing, but I don't really know if any of that means anything. anyway, just wondering your guys thoughts on which came first.

I haven't come across the 4x4 version yet. I think your are correct in that it is a later model.

I have a brown one like your blue one: Posted Image

There are at least two different pick-up truck bodies that use the camper unit. The one above is called a Ford F-150 on some base plates.
Here is the other casting:

Great collection Mark, thanks for showing them, more for me to look for. It is funny that they marked some as Fords, since I was first thinking they looked more like a Chevy. I see the others have a bit of a different grill, and no vent window on the doors.

It's neat I get to see what my original sticker looked like.

I have a few :D Even though some are marked F-150 they're all styled after the 73-79 Chevy Stepside.
