Wow awesome info! I am a new diecast car collector and when I found this car I really liked it and thought it was a Ferrari but not sure the brand. Now I know what to look for in the future. Very cool database as well.
Thanks!

You will find though that with many brands made in China they tend to share wheel sets, bases and even bodies. The trend here is to often label loose models back to their parent company if the packaging is not know or not already documented. Meaniing you may find the exact same car minus brand names, casting numbers and/or manufacture info that was either made or distributed by another company or another diecast brand - it gets confusing sometimes, but is still fun trying to figure it all out.

Welcome to the boards - BTW!

Thanks for the welcome MFR. Yes during my short time in this hobby my research as indicated exactly what you said. For me the fun part is the researching of the casting and learning about it or the company that made it.
I had know idea the car was a Zylmex brand but I did think it was somehow related to the older Motor Max brand which it is. It's a neat little casting and now my only Zylmex brand car in my collection. :)

The "off-brand" stuff as well as any lesser known brand is its own world in collecting. There is endless variations of everything, the documentation of models is very incomplete and part of the fun is trying to ID the brands. If you are up to that part of diecast collecting, Swifty's is the place where other enthusiasts a like are.

I totally love the enthusiasm and knowledge from this forum! I am learning quite a bit really enjoy seeing what other folks have in their collections. Until recently I was really only aware of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Majorette. Some of these other 1:64 scale cars are a new and intriguing world for me.

This site is awesome!
