Wanted to share this latest aquisition. Found this west German beauty today while I was picking up diecast from a ladies home. She told me "hold on, I have one more, but I know it's worth something", as she had seen the exact one on Antiques roadshow. I offered her all of the cash I had on me at the time, which was $300, and she let me have it. Pictures don't do really do this thing justice. Sorry that it is still dirty, someone who knows how to properly take care of it is coming by to inspect it/clean it, and I'm not touching it until then.

You are quite lucky to have been able to find a tin toy as fine as that one at a house sale these days, and in such a wonderful shade of blue, too!

Super find. Lucky you.

Edit:
Never knew Gama made large tinplate stuff. This just opened up a whole new world. Just found your Cadillac on eBay for $1,595. So you made a pretty good deal. Did yours clean up well?
