The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

![]() Today's Car Of The Day is M2 Machines' 1966 Chevrolet Corvette. ![]()
![]() For more information and pictures of the real car, please visit: Chevrolet Corvette ![]() I just liberated this one for the photo shoot, and I must say I'm disappointed. I'll start with the positive: M2 really captured the look of the real car well, something very few 1/64 models have managed topull off. That said, this car just plain feels cheap. It barely rolls. It feels flimsy. And while this is a Drivers casting and has no opening parts, it still has a very obvious gap around the hood from where it could open if this was one of their premium releases. This is not up to the normal quality I expect from an M2 Machines. ![]()

I like some of the M2 castings; but what really irritates me is the fact M2 uses the same wheels (notice the hubs) on the front and back of the castings. Most vehicles do NOT have hubs on the back axle UNLESS the vehicle is 4x4. Funny that I have not seen any one comment on this issue. Cheers. Cobra |

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
|
Most plastic model kits don't provide those either, and those are "scale" models. So I doubt if many 1/64 diecasts will have them. Unless we pay even more. Nice model here, but the silver paint is a bit too course for this size, or it just appears that way from the light. Edited by ivantt, Jun 18 2017, 08:50 PM.
