Some friends today introduced me to a close out type store in my area called Ollie's, sounded familiar, so I thought I might have heard that name mentioned here before.

Anyway, not sure if these have been shown before since I'm not sure how old they are, but they had a series of these Action race cars there with promotional graphics of MTA on the cars and cards. I believe they had a model for each of the lines listed on the back, and the two map cars I picked up.

And, you could carry them in your pocket (the one(s) for whatever line you're traveling on that day) so you wouldn't have to keep grabbing another paper map....

These are neat looking - seems someone showed one of these a while back loose and wasn't sure what it was from. Those would be perfect for my daughter and her family as they are headed to NYC in a couple of weeks and could use them as maps.

Thanks guys!

Forgot to mention that they are quite heavy, must be diecast base as well, and I suspect they were something originally available in a souvenir type shop in NYC, but maybe from awhile ago, the only date on the package I believe said 2011.

While those maps are quite detailed and clearly printed, I certainly would never be able to read them while out and about, at least not without a magnifying glass. :D

Yes, they seem to be catching up with more and more accounts that they didn't mess up the first time around. :(
