Didnt find an indiividual thread on this one, but did find a list of castings for the Acroos America Series with the McDonalds releases listed there. I think I also have the ambulance from that series as well in this new group.

I'm wondering whether to "sticker up" one of mine (I have one in unopened bag with the stickers, and one I got loose)....can't remember what they're supposed to look like when fully stickered, but I believe there's a 50th Anniversary sticker among them.

That would be cool to see and maybe someone will post one eventually. If it were mine though I would keep the sticker sheet intact.

Thanks. I think I'll leave it "mint". And maybe someone else has one stickered up they can show.

I have the versions of the McDonald's models with the stickers on them (some of the Canadian ones as well). The "kid" in me said they had to have the stickers! Will try and get pictures of them later today.

I'm like others, the any models I have gotten with a sticker sheet I left naked, and kept the sticker sheet unused, except for I think
one Tomica model I got years ago, the picture on the box with the stickers looked so good, I had to make it look like that. :D

It surprises me that companies basically design and manufacture essentially "brand new" castings for old standards from their lines, simply for exclusive sales/premium programs. This International Pumper has shorter emergency flasher/beacons mounted on the back end of the side rails than the general retail version, not to mention the large hole in the roof to accommodate the windows/lightbar piece (where the mainline version had two peg holes, perhaps easier to be broken off by accident--in this case, that probably IS related to my next point>>). I read that some of the modifications are due to 'child safety' regulations, eliminating sharp or small items that can be swallowed, but on the International, those rear lights are cast-in. I imagine the cost of new 'tools' for limited exclusive runs is expensive; I presume companies like BK and McD pay for the mods?

The Dakota had a roof modification to include the KC Hilites lights. While that one probably just meant leaving a hole in the roof for the lights/windows piece, it's still a pretty major modification in the production line.
