New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
It seems this one has eluded many collectors, but luckily I found it when it first came out. I wonder if the run for this version was low and made it hard to find. It'll be interesting to see what the first reissue/recolor will look like. If they eventually do another tool of it, it would make a great taxi or regular sedan, The latter would just about give it endless color possibilities. Just please hope no orange or purple glass on any of them!!

 Great to hear that you were able to find one. I know they seem to have been one of the harder ones to find. I have managed, through trades, etc., to pick up a couple of extra ones for fellow collectors who have not been able to find this one.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Congrats on the find! I don't think these were shortpacked, I think they just really popular with collectors.

I'm in for each and every variation of this casting they do. Police, taxi, and especially civilian. This one's personal. My Grandpa had a Bali Blue '51 sedan. Matchbox now has the tooling. If they smooth out the roof and hood to eliminate the police gear and do it in the right color, I would be extremely grateful. Please Matchbox? Please?

I bought two of the Hudsons at Dollar Tree, yesterday. I wanted to either remove the tampos,or repaint them.I was disappointed to find that the seem to be HO scale when compared to my JL two door, though.

It will be interesting to see what future variations of this one will be - I am hoping at least one would be a fire chief car. It would be neat if they could do a second casting with a plain roof and offer civilian versions like JL did.

I picked up about 6 of this casting in a box, to give to friends.
I suspect the spotlight may have been a factory option on this car as I have seen a few in shows that had the light.
I too, want to smooth the roof top and make a stock model.

lights flashing and the siren blaring.

The JL is an old Racing Champions casting and is larger than 1/64 scale. Unlike GreenLight and Auto World, JL is not made to true 1/64 scale.
