Voting for models in the following categories is now open -

1:64 and smaller Scales
1:43 Scales
1:24 Scale
1:18 and larger Scales

I thought this would be the best sub-forum to report on this, you can vote here.

I understand if they are using the email address to verify the vote, but I dont usually sign up for these type of vote requests. Is there an opt out of receiving emails later from them - in the process?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the comments. Re opting in to email, you should be able to not tick the box and still vote. Re 1/87, that is part of 1:64 for this year but we might make it a separate class next year. You can also earlier in the year nominate models, I will be in touch next April for that (all models are nominated by collectors).

It's illegal for companies to put you on some sort of mass mailing list and not include a way in the email for you to remove yourself, so hopefully there is :)

Don't worry, we do!

On another note, it would be nice if Swifty's Garage could join the Hall as a Community Supporter (here the current 36). Community Supporter announce when the Hall is accepting nominations, when it is time to vote, when the event opens for tickets and the end results announced on November 2.

I learned also that the survey is by survey chimp, which like survey monkey - that I have used in the past - uses the email to verify the voting process. Typically they will send you an email to verify the vote before it is counted. So someone can vote more than once, but has to have a real email account associated with their vote and not just someone voting and voting and voting over and over again running up their favorites.
