The Quest Continues
My modest Citroen collection. All Matchbox except the Safari wagons with the boats. Those are Husky. Somehow the BMC 1800 (bottom left) snuck in there too. :o

Those Huskys are in great shape. The boats are very hard to find.

Wow - nice collection of Citroen's - the two Husky ones are awesome and usually pretty hard to find with the boats attached.

The BMC is easy to mistake for a Citroen. Some say Citroen were even inspired by its design for the CX. Look at the pics, they're almost identical!

It's one of the more tragic moments of British car design, when Pininfarina designed something so mind bogglingly beautiful for an already dowdy car manufacturer and they turned around and said "thanks, but no thanks".

The streamlined shape of the Rover SD1 after Leyland and BMC's merger was too little too late of course, and even though some consider it Rover's last hurrah, you can't help but wonder what would have happened if BMC had indulged the chance to be ahead of the world with design again.
