Thanks. Found the garage locally in 2011 for $5.00. Lucky find. Had never seen one before! Said "Matchbox" on the bottom, and had to snarf it. I just looked up the going rates for the garage on eBay, and you're right, prices are up there. The Jaguar was $39.95 in 2007 (a bit extravagant for me, but a beautiful example IMHO). My original Jag Mk II has the black wheels. Not sure where/when/how much the van was.

I think this one has the dark red metallic paint, which might help. I have it listed as a 65-B1. Does anyone have a "true" dark red metallic one to compare it with?

Back in the '50's and '60's just about all Matchbox came with boxes. I know all my boxes are packed in storage in the back room - currently not is an area I can get to easily. Pretty sure I have the boxes for the garages. :toy:

Sad firefighter
I only have one 'garage' by Matchbox......the fire station. Used to have one of the BP stations, but I don't remember it having a garage with opening doors (that's the one I scorched in my backyard for realistic "fire" effects to play with my Merryweather No. 9 and fire chief and tow trucks, etc.)

This classic little single-car garage would make an attractive and realistic small-community firehouse....you know, where they have a fire engine but park it in some local barn or empty garage rather than building an actual "fire station". I may need to seek one of these out some day for that display potential.
