Hi, I've recently been filling some gaps in my collection and after getting a handful of Subaru models, I thought I would group them together and share a few photos.

The AeroPro models where quite pricey after shipping them from the US and paying for the import handling fees and taxes and I thought that there was an obvious car missing... thankfully Tomica helped me to fill that gap with their new BRZ...

I probably should have dug out the Tomica Levorg to join the group, but didn't really have the time to lay my hands on it.

I have also recently found the Matchbox WRX STI and got the Tomica WRX S4 Unmarked Police Car, so it seems a shame not to do some comparison photos...

The AeroPro appears to be the better one from first glance, but it is the most expensive one here and it is hard to ignore the plastic body and lack of interior. I would probably give first place to Tomica, for the level of detail and having an opening bonnet and then last place to Matchbox as it seems to be a bit off.

What do you think?

Pete.

I also obtained all of the Aero-Pro cars, and have been quite impressed with the castings and overall quality. I never had the impression that the bodies were plastic though- chassis and windows and spoilers definitely are plastic. I'll have to reinspect when I get home tonight. My only quibble was with the rear side window of the Imprezza hatchback not being painted. As they painted the B pillar, I don't quite understand whey they didn't also dab the rear quarter window too.

I think the Aero-Pro WRX-Sti captures the essence of the car best, followed by the Matchbox. The Tomica version is nice, but is let-down by unrealistic wheels to my eyes. They look to be 15" rims if the car were built to scale.

Per our other postings:

Why aren't the windows clear? - These products are custom, created to the specifications and budget determined by our clients. In the future clients may decide to add clear windows and interior, rubber wheels, etc. This decisions are not ours, but our clients.

Client has the final say on all these projects including what they are made of. All of the car bodies are metal.

Can't recall if I mentioned this in another post on the Areo-Pro Subies - found them for sale at the service department of the Subaru dealer in Grand Forks, ND when we had to have some minor work done on my wife's Forester. It was neat to actually see them on the pegs! :D Looking forward to seeing what else might be offered down the road! By the way - this dealership has one of the old 360's sitting in the showroom!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I think the Aero Pro captures the look of the real car best in all honesty. The Tomica looks dull with their tampo hits, and the Matchbox as you said looks off. From the lights to the wheels to the sunroof, the AeroPro looks best, hands down. Yes, an interior would be nice but that's at Subaru's discretion, not AeroPro's.
