My local store cleared out their singles and have no pegs for them after the reset. Just 5 and 9 Packs. The larger Super Target still carries them, but has dropped M2, Greenlight, Auto World and Johnny Lightning.

And to think that Target will be one of the stores that will have exclusive "chase" Matchbox cars next year. I'm not sure what Mattel was thinking, but it wasn't about availability for collectors!

I so rarely go to Target but since toyotageek had asked members to look for the rabbit characters from Ninja Turtles on my recent trip to camp I stopped at two Targets - no Matchbox at all on the pegs - there were some pegs marked for them but none - and only a couple of five packs. Not all Super Targets even got the GreenLight, M2 or Auto World, etc. items - closest ones to me were in the Twin Cities.

I never even check Target anymore. My local TRU and WM are way better stock wise. Matchbox is lacking at the former but everything else is usually fine.

I was just at my area Target earlier in the week, and it looked like they had recently restocked, but an old batch, and they may have cleared them out since then. Never really pay any attention to those other brands except HWs in the other aisle, so don't know if they are still around. I didn't know about an exclusive chase model in 2018 at Target, that is interesting.

Was in Target today, they did a reset and dropped MBX from four pegs to two, the other two they placed the MBX color changers on. So at least its still MBX. Also had two pegs of five packs.

As for GL, Autoworld and such, I have never seen them in a Target.

I've hit several Targets all over the country over the past few days, and it's been the same story everywhere... MBX pegs reduced to almost nothing, and no more Greenlight/M2/Auto World. Kinda suspected that as all the Targets near my home clearanced out all the Greenlights and everything last month.. Shame really.

Yesterday I stopped at what used to be a good source for M2, GL, JL and R2 and AW.....a Target....and they did the reset but Matchbox still have a decent number of pegs for 5 packs and singles, and had all but the VW T2 pickup Color Changer in stock (I think maybe it's the most popular of that new line). This is the same Target that a month or two ago I confronted the toy section mgr about the 3 singles that had been hanging for months and months with no restock, causing him to check the inventory to discover it said there were 12 singles in stock (above the automatic reorder threshold). A week later and there was a full complement of an old (about 2017 batch D or whatever I said at the time) batch hanging.

The other "true" 1:64 brands were all gone. No more peg space. No GL, AW, M2, JL/R2 etc.....all eliminated in the reset. Back to TRU as the only local source for GL....and WM as the only source for RC/R2 brands (okay, TRU carries them still). Couldn't quite figure out what "replaced" those pegs.....but at TRU there had been an abundant restock of those R2 and other brands on Friday (I had a medical issue Friday and missed the Friday-morning stampede....). Yesterday I picked up two GL Hitch n Tow sets: the FDNY Explorer and Operations trailer, and the DHS F150 and boat set. Otherwise the 1:64 pegs were overflowing....a pleasant sight even if only the GL HnT sets were of interest to me.

The Majorette pegs were bursting with series 1, but no offense, only the F150 interested me, but in it's civilian colors I didn't buy one.
