I built this kit almost straight out of the box and fully detailed.

Very nice Chris - is this a current kit? I ask only because I don't keep up on model kits these days - the only place I even see model kits is the occasions I am at Hobby Lobby or the little grocery/variety store in the neighboring town that always has a small selection...but not sure how current those are.

I've got a stash of model kits from the late 80's - 90's that I always thought I'd build "someday," but years ago, I realized I just didn't have the patience to complete any of them. I admire your motivation!

It is a current kit that also builds a huckster wagon and a bonus hot rod inside.

1/25 scale. I'm gonna get a couple replicas (Newray, High Speed or Hongwell brand IIRC) of vintage Indian motorcycles to make a bed load for this.

And thanks very much! Eventually I'll be able to 3D scan& print bodies for 1/64 and bigger trucks

That is a very nice model and kudos on a a wonderful assembly and paint job!

Here's what Henry Ford said abut the Model T:

I will build a car for the great multitude. It will be large enough for the family, but small enough for the individual to run and care for. It will be constructed of the best materials, by the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise. But it will be so low in price that no man making a good salary will be unable to own one – and enjoy with his family the blessing of hours of pleasure in God's great open spaces.

That's cool. Well done job! :)
I used to build models when I was a kid. You don't really see them in stores any more. Oh, yeah. Today's kids are checking their Facebook stats instead.

Thanks! Several antique stores here carry model kits, thrift stores carry them at times, also a specialist diecast toy store in a nearby smaller town has them. Hobby Lobby and Michael's also carry them.

You're welcome. Yes. I've seen them in Michaels. Just a handful. When I was a kid, there were acres of them in the department stores. :D
