This casting of one of the last handbuilt Italian exotic cars was found in pretty rough condition at a thrift store, and it cost me 49 cents.

File photo of a nicer version of what I started with. Wheels & tires are from a pretty badly playworn Motormax 1984 Pontiac Fiero GT, and have been painted to look like stock Campagnolo alloy wheels fitted to the real thing.

Nice wheel choice; makes the casting look collector-grade whereas it looks so toy-like with the original Ertl wheels.

The wheels are off of a heavily damaged Motormax American Graffiti series '84 Pontiac Fiero GT, and have been repainted to look closest to factory-issue Campagnolo alloy wheels.

The new wheels make a world of difference on the restoration.

Thanks! 80s-era Ertl castings are surprisingly good when given better wheels & detailing
