Saw this in a local shop: Tomica 25th Aniversary Set, 1995
There was no price on it, yet. Seller had to look it up first, but thought it might be as high as EUR 60,-

How rare is it? Is it something special?

6 Models, scaled 1/60 to 1/62

Now I am not too interested in it, but if anybody in here ís, I may ask him for a special price... :)
(Not sure how shipping would work out though.)

It is new, the outer box is a bit damaged as you can see, the six boxes inside appear to be in mint condition...

Neat!

I know of the set, but never seen one in person.

Never went shopping for a set, so don't really know what they're selling for.

Did he give you a final price?

When I'm at home I'll try looking it up on Yahoo Auction Japan - that might tell us a little something about rarity.

UPDATE...

Just some FYI trivial info.

Found one Japanese collector that bought one in 2000 and paid 5000 yen at the time.

Now, yes.

But back in 2000?..... I don't know what the exchange rate would have been back then.

Found some current selling prices on Yahoo Auction Japan (past few months). Anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000 yen ($27 to $54)

Of course outside of Japan it could be more, or less.... always depends on who's selling and who's buying.

I am guessing the colors and designs on those cars would be exclusive to the 25th anniversary set. :toy:

Here is one example. This set uses the original mold. It contains great value. But vintage model paint is thin. (Clear impression)

I think that 60 euros is the best price. But box injury loses 30% to 50% worth. (In japan)
The box condition is bad for tomica exported from Japan to foreign countries.
price about 5000JPY :D
