Gold seemed like the popular color. I like the comparison photo you added at the end, Daniel. Nice touch. This is a really nice little diecast piece. I have one somewhere.

I saw a bunch of those real Golden Hawks here at a Studebaker event
some had the rare 1956 Colorado plate with the skier on it

I have one but its a Corgi model & isn't permitted in here

Very nice. I don't know if I have that one. I know I am missing the Rose color release from the American Chrome series. Of the ones I have the Club Car is my favorite.

That's a nice looking model.

Has it been re-released for 2017? If not, I hope they do...

Always a superb casting... Only found it in gold. Never did see any other of these cars anywhere or any other color. I felt extremely lucky to find this one...

The "Hawks" were based on the old 1953 body with some new sheet metal front and rear. In the '60's, they became Gran Turismo's. The hottest were the "Golden Hawks" but there were also "Silver Hawks", "Power Hawks" and maybe others. Lots of models were made of them in every scale from 1/87 tp 1/18. Dan's white car looks especially nice and the wheels are an improvement.

The ones with door post were called Silver Hawks and available in multiple colors. The Golden Hawk could come with a Paxton Supercharger. There was also a Packard Hawk with a slopping hood, not the stand up grill.
