This is not quite a Johnny yet, but wondering since RC2 is now the owners of all or most Ertl and Racing Champions castings, if this casting will be released as a Johnny?
This T-Bolt is an older Ertl/RC casting that had much more detail than the Johnny T-Bolt. As I remember there were only two releases of the Johnny T-Bolt and as much as I hate to say, the quality and detail seemed a little lack.

Not to take anything away from Johnny as I was proud and excited to add these T-Bolts to my collection, but there was just something that didn't feel right on these two at the time of opening them up...

If memory serves....two of the old Ertl American Muscle castings were reworked for the JL line while Tom Z was there: the 71 Charger made one appearance after having the trunk sealed, and the Ford Thunderbolt...again after having the trunk sealed. If I'm not mistaken, the two models shown here are the reworked Ertl casting.

I have 4 varies of the Ertl/Racing Champions castings that I know of. All 4 came in complete different packages. I am not so sure these are the same casting as the Johnny T-Bolt. There is a big difference in the feel of the cars. I will check into this and do a better comparison to see what comes up...
