So glad JL made a stock version of the Vega wagon - not one of my favorite cars personally but in their day there were plenty of these little creatures around as daily drivers and always neat to have those type of models to add to our collections.

Yeah, I was glad to see a stock version of the Vega wagon also. I like that green one and the wheels on it...
I picked this one up just a short while ago...

I picked this on up many, many years ago and I remember I didn't like the engine sticking way up out of the enging compartment. No hood either. I did put the normal little V~8 in it and I tried to make a hood but failed... I don't even remember how it came from the package.

I went searching on ebay to see if I could find how the yellow one looked in the package... Now I remember... I removed those goofy numbers too... I borrowed this pic... I believe this was the first Vega wagon released... First one I found anyway...

I got the blue one myself recently. Here's an idea, and if you want to beat me to it, that's fine.

Modify it to the 'panel delivery' version, with the blocked out rear quarter windows, no back seat, and no passenger seat (which was optional).

A friend in high school had one just like the green one but with steel wheels and small caps but it had a 302 in it.

This is one of the funny things about this hobby....I don't WANT to collect models that don't fit my 'genre', but the Vega is one for which I would make an exception. I have this funny feeling I DID buy the blue version, but I have "all" my JL except military models spread out on the living room floor, and no Vega to be found. But I also believe I have some moc Surf Rods by JL yet cannot find a sign of them, either.
