Just such a nice car with colors from the days where colors meant so much more.

This could be a nice car but it's not one of M2's best. The 55 has been plagued by rough door edges, bad fits and a misaligned front bumper on every release. They could fix it by tooling up a "Driver" edition but why,,,,GL's old Motorworld already exists,,,with fewer flaws.

I totally agree! The car has some rough spots on the casting that show through the paint and the doors are not the greatest either with large gaps in them. Sadly it was the only one that was in stock. Even the clear plastic case cover has a ding in it that I didn't discover until I got it open at home. It makes me wary of buying this product again. That being said the M2 details edition of the 1957 Chevy looks nice and it comes with extra wheels you can swap out.

Here is the '55 Chevy Bel-Air I picked up a couple of months ago in Minnesota. Still haven't gotten it off the base - the screws are so tight and my hands not that strong these days to get them out. :( This color would be very similar to the one my parents '55 wagon.

I have the same problem with my hands but have learned by giving a quick snap the screws loosen up easier and using a screw driver with a larger handle. Also found a ratchet screw driver that has a fat t-handle design.

Be sure to watch the long term effects of lubricants on plastic, some will dissolve plastic over time.

Thanks for the picture of the fat handed screw driver - that looks like it should do the trick. Not being a tool person I am guessing though that is something I should be able to find at most hardware stores like Menards or Ace?

This is a 1955 Chevrolet 210. Which has different trim making it NOT a Belair.
