Since Photobucket decided not to host any of my old photos in my threads I figured I would just start over...

Timonium City is my father and I's train garden that we have had for almost the past 20 years. It all started when I got a slot car track kit for one of my birthdays that we set-up on top of the pool table we had in the basement and kept building from there. My father has been building 1/87th fire apparatus since the '80s so he wanted an avenue to display all of his models and of course I wasn't going to turn down more area to play with my toy cars as kid. It has really been a fun project over the years and glad it is still around...

My parent's house just went under a major house renovation and the train garden took a hit from the debris raining down from below. It is currently getting revamped, reorganized, and re-whatever else so here are some old pictures for now...

Timonium City even grew so large I had a small section of it in my bedroom, TCPD Precinct 3 handles police matters for that area.

What a dream setup, I'd love to have space to mess around with something like that and display many of my cars.

Have fun with the redo of the city, looking forward to seeing that as well.

Neat! Looking forward to seeing what the future brings! :2thumbsup:

I'm with Douglas... wish I had a basement to do something like this with. Just don't see too many basements in this part of California. :(

Thanks everyone for the replies, I'll be sure to keep this thread up now that I have an audience.

First place done was the downtown DPW yard. It seemed like every time I got a new dump truck, trash truck, or you name it I tried to fit it into this yard causing it to become very clustered, thinned it out and kept only the best examples.

Next up, was the downtown TCPD Precinct #4, not much was needed...

Across from Precinct #4 is the private ambulance company, after your loved one are transported to the hospital and released they handle getting them back home safely if needed...

Behind the private ambulance station is the Timonium City Junkyard, another favorite of people. You can find just about anything here, NASCAR race cars from when the circuit competed on the AroundTown Speedway, banger/demo derby cars from the AroundTown Speedway Friday nights, and of course wrecks from the streets. The "junk" accumulated so bad here Timonium City Code Enforcement officers told them they had to clean it up, they did a great job.

Conveniently located across the street from the junkyard is Billy's Auto Body, probably where he sources most of his parts to fix his customer's vehicles.

Overlooking the junkyard is Timonium City Fire Department Station #3, they house the hazardous materials team for the city.

The next area I am starting on is our downtown area. As you can see I took out all the cars in the area and started to rearrange the buildings to not make it so congested. We had a HUGE hospital we build out of "girders and panels" that never looked right so we are replacing it by combing two of the yellow tower looking buildings (one still needs to be build). We were never much into the small intricate details but I am going to start changing that by adding people, fixtures, and other things since the small details is what really people look at.

I noticed I don't have much signage if at all any on any of the buildings so I'm going to be working on that as well. Thanks for looking! :toy:

The Timonium City Train Station, this area would look great with people sitting on the platform and other scenery items.

The tenant housing is part of the Walthers Cornerstone series, the actual name of the kit is the "Parkview Terrace Background Building." Their actually meant to be up against a wall as a "background building" but we were having a hard time finding apartments style housing that we likes so we built two of them and put them together. It really makes for a nice little apartment building.
