As far as I know Johnny was the only diecast company to release a replica of the original 73 Mustang from the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" in 1/64th scale

Greenlight has the 2nd version...

I'm wondering why Johnny never released version 2, the 67 Shelby,
or Greenlight never released version 1, the 73 Mustang?
Seems the licensing stuff should be in order for both. It would be nice to have a matching set...LOL

Don't care for the remake Eleanor or that terrible movie. Now the original Eleanor.....? LOVE HER!!!!!!

I have that 1/64 JL, also have the 1/43 GreenLight and the 1/18 Ertl 73 Eleanor. Also RC made a bunch of cars from that movie in 1/64, Eleanor, a police car, etc and The Junkman movie, Haliick's 2nd movie.

I'll have to dig the rest of my Eleanor's out of storage.

But here is the 1/43 Greenlight.

Shame Greenlight has not issued it in 1:64.

I thought the "original" Eleanor was the wrecked car left in the car wash.

Somebody should do that one in 1/64, with figures of the lady chewing out the car wash owner.

"You're weird, kid."

Here is a couple of older pics of the Racing Champions Eleanor in 1/64

A very very HTF car , I was looking for years on Ebay for one and managed to buy mine with a bid of around $50

I really like the body shape and lines much better than the JL version

Regarding the RC car ( Here is a cool link ) http://liveandletdiecast.kinja.com/movie-monday-gone-in-60-seconds-1974-eleanor-review-1750057849

The hood is the correct slick version and not the Mach-1 style that the Johnny Lightning version had. Even though the movie referred to Eleanor as a Mach-1, it was just a Plain Jane 1973 non-ram air hood car with Mach-1 decals. The Racing Champions version also has a great looking grill and simple body lines just like the movie car had

That's just great. Now I have to look for the RC version. That was one of those movies that embedded itself in my memories as a kid.

I still like the Johnny version better than the others. It goes with my collection, was the first I had seen, and love the card art.
I agree it is not 100% accurate, but let's face it, I don't think any of the Johnny movie stuff was pure accurate. It's the idea and loyalty behind my beloved Johnnys!!!
