Way back when I decided to make a couple demo derby models for a scene I was doing for Timonium City. I posted them on a forum when I was pointed to this forum that had a special sub category just for them. Once I was here I saw the works of other members and it snowballed from there. Now I have almost 200+ cars completed.

Disclaimers:

1. I call these racers because they aren't true "demo derby cars" and they aren't "bangers" like they race across the pond, they are my own creations.
2. Since they are my own creations you'll see Audi R8s, Ford GTs, and other various makes and models that I would hope you would never see.

When I first started out I just unriveted the cars from the chassis, removed the paint, spray painted, and used sharpies to details. These are some of my early cars:

Like all things I have gotten better with time and have graduated from sharpies and started picking up a paint brushes. Now I add a door plate across the driver's door and make a "H" frame behind the driver. These are some of my most recent cars:

Often times I look for inspiration from NASCAR to design cars:

Hope you all enjoy!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Looking good - nice to see some new ones from you! It's been nearly ten years since I did any customs at all.

I couldn't believe how dead this sub-category was when I logged back in for the first time. It was about a 4-5 year hiatus for me, I'm slowly getting back into it now.
