I also should point out these are now 5 dollars, but there is a significant improvement in quality and detailing compared to the previous series.

Bought a set last night. They look great. I probably should have bought 2 sets. One to keep carded and one to open. But, like MKZ said they are expensive each. At my Target they were $5.60 each.

I love them so much. I can't wait to get mine ordered. The Purple Skyline is my favourite.

I wish they were $15 to keep people from buying every single one they find

I haven't seen them in any store yet. Don't think I ever saw the first series in any store. I bought two sets from an online dealer - one for me, one for a friend. Guess I was lucky because I've heard that many other dealers with accounts with Mattel, have had their orders cancelled. They're being told, "sorry, sold out". Mattel sure seems to think they are pretty high & mighty of themselves...

Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up later at $15 or more from your local scalpers. :(

For what you get, the price seems right for me.
It must be great, walking in to a store and finding these hanging on the pegs.......
