I have found three Majorettes from the same era locally Sonic Flashers Bronco, Lamborghini, silver Corvette), and they're in even rougher shape. It's really hard to find anything not made just a couple years ago at my local flea markets. Especially scarce is Regular Wheel era Matchbox (1), English Matchbox in general (5?), Tomica (5) and Corgi (1). I have had good luck with late '70s and early '80s HWs (8). At least because I also collect old tools and pocketknives means I rarely come home emptyhanded.

Those are in rather good condition compared to mine. I really like the Ferrari.

These were found randomly at various thrift stores. Here's some more shots of the Ferrari. :D

I don't know about Walmart in the USA but here in Canada they have been carrying Majorette for awhile. They run about $4 each. Lots of new stuff coming out I see too.

Hah that's not what i consider a beater, if they had broken windscreens, allmost no paint and damaged wheels then i would consider them beaters.

That's quite true, some kids got plenty of joy out of them, and now you get to enjoy them in your collection.
And if you find a better example someday, you can always pass on the one you got, or even do customs.

Like Cody, I've found the same problem these days, often seeing a lot of the poor quality brands around or just newer stuff of the major brands, seldom a Majo anymore, kind of the reason I stopped long ago bothering with thrift shops around me, since I seldom found anything worth getting, but sometimes the big fleamarket I go to on Monday holidays yields something I like, but still, not as much as the old days.

Not a stupid thing. They are space-fillers until you find a better one. :)

Got a mint one of those but the wheels are different:
