I found this MB Elvis set on ebay and borrowed the pic to share. Never seen this set before and think it is really cool that it has the 61 Dart Phoenix in it...

The Dart is a beauty, but I also like the Drive In screen and entrance sign. If I'd seen that in a store I would probably have bought it for those three items (and of course, the added litter and the speaker stand....wow, who else but Matchbox would include 'theater trash' in a retail product?!)

Kinda reminds me of the local "drive in" theater where I worked in Northern California during the late 70s and early 80s....the back of the local market (a smooth whitewashed wall) was the screen, and the lot behind the store was the place you parked your car or spread out your blanket (movies were summer only). I don't remember how the sound was delivered, but there must have been some sort of loudspeaker setup since I don't remember "drive-in style speaker boxes" there.
