I understand that 'Brandweer' is the common name for the fire services of both Belgium and Holland (or the Netherlands). I think the Majorette MAN aerial was sold as a "Belgian" fire truck, and the Zetros was noted as Dutch by the seller (or was it vice-versa?), but I really don't know if that's just because of where the sellers (different auctions/sellers) acquired theirs, or there's some subtle hint in the overall livery? Another thread noted that collectors in Belgium and Luxembourg can see the same "country-specific" sets in stores in both countries... Anyway, here are a couple of Majorette fire apparatus lettered for the Brandweer: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I tried to look up photos of the different countries' apparatus and saw both the white/blue and yellow/blue stripe patterns in search results for each country. So, would it be safe to assume that in Belgium the white/blue pattern is the norm, and in Holland yellow/blue is the standard? So, these two were not "meant to be together"? (Maybe they're located in a 'border town'....heh heh...) Second edit: the Dutch flag has a yellow stripe; the Belgium flag has a white stripe. If that stripe is the 'representative' color for the country in it's fire apparatus, then my initial thought was wrong, and the aerial would be the Dutch model, the Zetros the Belgium model...no? I did not find your two fire trucks so soon, but the first one is for Belgium, the second for the Netherlands. But I have other sets of the same colors. It is difficult, with blue and red stripes are the Dutch (NL) and the yellow-red-blue are the Belgians. ![]() BELGIUM ![]() NETHERLANDS --- ![]() INTERNATIONAL - no Country-set ![]() INTERNATIONAL . no Country-set ![]() FRANCE |

YES itīs right. The Zetros *Fire Brigade* is from this big set , I think it is an international SOS-set. AND I remembered that the name BRANDWEER probably comes from the Dutch language. BUT in Belgium they speak French, Dutch, German and I still believe their own language (Walloon). ![]() Edited by EDeKa, Mar 15 2018, 04:01 PM.

Either you or Niels sent me one of the international sets...I think that was how I got my first Zetros. Since then I have acquired another "english/international" version, plus the Romanian, Hungarian, and Belgium ones. This is a model that I will attempt to collect all the countries, and that "Airport Rescue" variation. I've already got several country versions of the MAN aerial, including a 'set' of Polish cars, pickup trucks, and the MAN bought from 3 different sellers (4 vehicles total). Also have French, German, Finland, Romanian, Hungarian, "international" and Italian versions of the MAN aerial ladder; hope they add Zetros or some other fire engine to those countries' liveries. Have some Portugal cars and pickup trucks, too, but no MAN aerial for Portugal. Do you know if Majo makes an aerial ladder in Bombeiros livery? |
