Ran across this in the store the other day, probably one of the best looking emergency vehicles that I have seen released by Maisto in quite a while...

this was from a multi pack. they had another sets as well with a cop car, but I'm not sure if it was new or not. I thought I took a picture but can't find it now.

Its a great model, been around for a about a year and half. Last Christmas there was a thread of the new emergency vehicles in the Maisto 10 packs at Wal-Mart. Most where police vehicles, but there is also a set with a new ambulance.

They both are new to me also. I have not seen them. Of course my local Wal-Mart does not have a good diecast section ! I like both by the way !

Yeah Sammy, that one has been around, I checked my pictures to see how long ago I found that Raptor, and my photos are dated October 2016  , but my model has been put away since so it is good to see how nice it is again........... congrats on finally finding one.

Since this came out in 2016 I think I know why I don't remember it (still parts back then I don't remember and others I wish I didn't). Both the fire dept. pickup and the ambulance are quite nice and ones I will hopefully find one of these days. I have noticed the Wal Marts in my area seem to be stocking less and less Maisto - even the multi piece sets.

I like them, very realistic looking. Anyone have an extra ambulance?

Unfortunately for those looking for these models, for over two years now I have only seen them at Wal-Mart in the 10 packs. I bought a ten pack for each of these models, as I figured the pain in the rear if tracking them down was saved and cost of shipping would make it a wash.

If there's a "good thing" about Maisto's 10-packs--besides this Raptor, the ambulance, and some of the police vehicles--there's a really nice Chevy Colorado police pickup in one of the sets, and a Charger in white, and even a 'prohibition-era' hot rod coupe of some make (didn't buy that set) and a futuristic police car like something out of Demolition Man (didn't buy that one either). It's too bad there's only the one fire vehicle....and the one ambulance (I mean the 'exclusive' model), in all the versions of the 10-packs I've seen. But the "good thing" is that in the sets with the Fire pickup there's usually another fire engine or two, or the standard Ford E-series ambulance, and the price is just over $6 for 10 vehicles. It seems to me, pulling it out of the muddle in my brain, that Maisto multipacks are kinda like Matchbox in that the other vehicles in a set with one particular "exclusive" may be different from one pack to another.

For the police/tow truck collectors, one of the sets has a Transit-like police tow truck all in black. I would buy a set of each if it weren't for the 9 other vehicles in each set that I'd then have to do something with....I guess I could make a "grab bag" and donate the excess to the local charitable "Idaho Youth Ranch" stores.

I've been tempted to get some of those ten packs. The emergency vehicles don't seem to make the five packs I've seen. The Raptor would have persuaded me, but I didn't see it.

I suspect in coming months I will probably get the ten packs just to get those select emergency vehicles. Probably hang on to the others until Katie comes by this summer and see if she wants any of them and then offer the rest to the Dakota Boys Ranch Thrift Store (it is where a bunch of my extra, unsold stuff will be going in the near future. :D
