I've always liked the styling of the BWM 3.0 CS, but the MBX replica just didn't do anything for me. When HW released their 3.0 CSL, my first thought was converting one of these to something closer to 'replica stock'. I knew it would take some work, but the basic body proportions looked good. I figured it was worth a try. What I started with: Along the way: Finished project: While i'm happy with the results, this was MUCH more work than I intended. I had to set it aside a few times while I worked on other projects, but i'm glad I stuck with it to the end. More pics and info can be found at 1973 BMW 3.0 CS. |

The finished product is amazing, and hopefully worth all the extra work involved. |

Thank you all for the compliments. Was it worth the work? Yes. Would I do one again any time soon? No. But I have a HW Nissan R32 Skyline on my table right now that's approaching the work I did on this one. Stay tuned... |

Wow, that's some stunning craftsmanship! Great choice of colour too! Only thing I would change is the wheels, imho some smaller rims with higher profile tyres would look better, but that's just me ![]() Looking forward to seeing more
