![]() Today's car of the day comes from jedimario's collection, and is Tomica's 2015 Toyota Vellfire. ![]()
![]() For more information and pictures of the real car please visit: Toyota Alphard ![]() This week's COTD cars are courtesy of jedimario. Here is the sportier Vellfire variation to the Alphard shown on Sunday. While parts of the Tomica are shared between the two castings, the main body of the casting is unique to each van. ![]()

Another mini van... but what can I say as I drive one too, though mine will never show up in small scale - at least I can't picture anyone making a Hyundai Entourage. Like other Tomica models and mini vans in general this is a nicely detailed model - like the opening rear hatch and the extra effort Tomica does to make each of these distinctive.

I was wondering: Is the way the hatch is hinged prototypically correct? It's pretty cool how it lifts the hatch out of the way. That would be convenient for us taller guys who tend to hit our heads on things like that otherwise (I once had a '73 Chevelle Laguna wagon and an '84 Buick Century wagon, and I hit my head on those hatches more times than I 'd like to remember). The only hatch that does that that I can think of was on the 2000's Dodge Magnum wagon. It wasn't hinged like this - the hatch carried over a foot into the roof to get it out of the way better. I always thought that was a nice touch.
