Customs - now more finished

I have had 19 cars almost ready, only missing the paint and assembly, for almost two years now. Today I visited my parents and finally had a place, the time and a perfect weather all at the same time to paint them. Now I let them dry for a few days and assemble them. I'll post individual before/after pics as soon as I finish any of them. The 19th car not visible in the pictures is a Matchbox MB 450SEL, whose body has already been painted in 2016 but I needed to paint the base today.

Can hardly wait to see the MBX Town Car finished. I like the model and I do not even have one in my collection.

The first ones are rolling off the assembly line. Here is a Siku Mercedes E-Class. I never found the dark green metallic variation with older wheels so I made myself one.

This Matchbox Mercedes 300E smeared with different markers was my childhood flea market purchase. It came to me as it was before restoration. I always wished MBX had done more stock colors on this one, so I went with a plain red.

Here is the Town Car. It is from my childhood, and as a kid I for some reason tried to paint it over with a paintbrush with bad results. I have since managed to find a couple better white ones so I decided to give it a fresh color, which isn't still grotesque with all the chrome. I went with the turquoise metallic which is actually the exact color for my daily driver (2006 Mazda 6) and that was why I had the color at all in my paint selection. I also got rid of that red interior, which I didn't like one bit

This Pontiac wasn't that bad, but I just have so freaking many of these black ones.. I went for a little stylish approach and this is one of the two in this batch to recieve off-brand wheels. Also the interior turned from red to black.

No before picture of this but it was a brand new black one. I did screw up the paint of this one multiple times while trying different colors, first time in early 2016 when the clearcoat melted the yellow paint I had applied. Later on when the car was in parts, I tried Welly 5-spokes and they fitted perfectly. I then decided to "wellyfy" it giving it a thick paint layer in wellyish color and also applied two tone seats to the interior.

Nothing good ever happens after midnight.
They all look real nice! I especially like that Lincoln. I would have painted the roof white, would have set off that turquoise metallic nicely.

The rare orange Majorette Volvo.. never found one so I made one. The before picture looks much better than the car actually was because it was partially fixed bad with silver marker. The Volvo got the new paint and also an extensive cleanup, smoothing and polishing on its window piece.

Thanks for nice comments. I always aim for a result faithful to the original. That's why I don't do excessive detailing, too thin paints nor real rider wheels.
