Where has AW gone???

I haven't seen anything from AW for the past 4 or 5 months at any Walmart, Meijers, or Hobby Lobby. Walmarts have done some rearranging of the toy sections and I don't see any Auto World tags on the pegs by the JLs and M2s like they used to be... :( :(

WM's are starting to get 2018 Rel 2A NOW. I found a 70 Impala Chase yesterday,,,bummer,,red tires. Our East York, PA actually got 2 sets of 2016 AWs this week also. The set with the red Barracuda and white 64 GP. Where have they been sitting? I bought cars from both 2018-2A and B on line last week.

My WM's still have a bunch of pegs warmers I guess. Same 15 or so cars on the pegs for 2 months.

It has been ages since I saw any AW product on the pegs at WM - hard to keep interest in a series that one can't find - reminds of the end days of the earlier JL. :(

x2! I never saw series 3, let alone anything after. Everything I've got from the later rounds came from here.

Local Walmart has the black Dart Phoenix and red 442. Went home with the avocado Challenger.

Springfield, Oregon Walmart is the only local place to me with AW. They've been stocking pretty regularly, gonna check back on Monday, hopefully I'll come home with a base model Challenger or a Dart Phoenix

If you're having trouble finding them in stores, check Brickseek to see which stores carry them:

They've been popping up more recently here in the metro-Detroit area. I just found an ultra red at Meijer the other morning, hopefully the stores in your area will get a re-stock soon!

Glad to hear you have some new stock. Congrats on the ultra as well.
Yeah, I was getting a little concerned, especially after Toys~R~Us closed down. All that has been seen around here are empty AW pegs and even no pegs for AWs in Walmart and some Meijers. The pegs are full of those new Johnny "Tiny Houses" series that are quickly turning into peg warmers. Selections are terrible of GLs, M2s, and JLs also...

I'm a little more concerned with the trickle of new castings. We are slated to get the Impala and the Wagon, which is great. However, it seems like a meager amount of new models. Recolors are fine, but I think I have enough Firebirds and Mustangs.

Those Tiny Houses have definitely been peg warmers as they are priced wayyyyy to expensive for what you get in my opinion.

Since TRU is officially over after this week, I'm hoping Hobby Lobby will step up there die-cast game and double the selection they have, and include more manufactures. Hobby Lobby does sell Auto Worlds, but I've only seen the slot cars, and the display case that includes 1 1/64 car

Many Hobby Lobbys have AW 1/64 cars but they seldom display more than four or five. Of course they're also priced higher than WM or TRU.

I've never seen single pack 1/64 Auto Worlds at any Hobby Lobby in my metro Detroit area.

If you find / have Auto Worlds at your Hobby Lobby, they should be cheaper then any other place to buy die-cast. The reason why is because Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon off any regular priced item. It's a coupon that is always availible, you just have to google it on your phone when you check out, and they scan it off of your phone. I get Greenlight's for under $5 before tax there!

TRUS was where I was getting mine and WM's around me rarely get them. Now that TRUS went out of business it will be rare to see any around now days for me.

Support your local demo derby.

With TRU shuttering down I think it only pushes the hobby to be more of an online entity.

I understand about the 40% coupon at H-L but if I find three cars, I can only use it on one. And yes, I know there are ways to work around that. Most of my AW's come from OLDS who combine shipping but they still average out to about $7 each. There is only one AW I never found or never found at a sane price; The gray 73 Road Runner.
