I caught several of these 4-packs on sale at a TRU several years ago. I can't remember the exact sale price, but do remember them being a little less than half the price they sold for...

I had a couple of duplicate maroon Malibus, so I did a chassis swap to create this exotic pair...

I remember getting this four pack simply for the police car - it was from the Beat the Heat series. Others went the way of the flea market.

Nice set, I don't remember them, but the top 3 models in it I like, so it would have interested me then.

Support your local demo derby.

I purchased mine at the RC2 outlet store during their next to last Lightning Fest in Dyersville, Iowa several years ago.

WOW! I remember seeing that pack in the store, I wanted just the Pinto but didn't want to spend the funds for just one car.

There's something about the Zinger treatment that I like, though I don't usually go for the exaggerated features. That being said, the de-Zingered black and silver Malibu looks sharp. I would like to see that paint scheme with a hood installed as well.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I'd buy it now just for the Vette and Maverick.

I still remember seeing this 4 pack listed on a message board and running to Toys R Us (RIP) on my lunch hour that day and looking for it. Of course, I didn't find it and ended up buying it on E-Bay (that same day....Didn't want to wait!). I wanted the Pinto, since there was only 1 other stock JL Pinto (the gold one), and I always liked Pinto's. The Vette went to a new home, via E-Bay. I've never been big on Zingers or the large tire 4X4's, so I bought another Scout and swapped out the wheels for a stock look. I also swapped the wheels on the Malibu, and removed the engine and replaced the hood with one from a stock Malibu. Since the hood of the Malibu should be black; a little Testor's gloss black paint blended pretty nicely. This thread brought back some good memories. After seeing this; I think I'll have to try and find these cars and put them on display again. If I get them out, I'll post pics.
