I only had two I really cared for when this series came out--the MB and the Jeep truck. I kinda think I was able to behave myself and only buy one of each. One day, I'm going to pick up an extra couple trucks, and put a tow boom on one, ditch the lift kit on another, then eventually both. Seriously, it was a big mistake for them to stick a lift kit on it--oh well, there's the HO models (and the old Jeep promo pieces, made by a company who made the engine castings for Willys!). The old EKO I have might be a little crude, but at least it's stock.

I have a few castings I've noticed I've bought everyone I see of (the Superlift brush truck is one). This particular version is great, as it's the closest they've gotten to a WWII accurate paint scheme. I can't wait for JL's new military series which will bring back some old models that were getting pricey.

Those should make a great display Scotty, I think my area WM is finally a bit low on the Jeep series, being overtaken by the Chevy series hanging there now though.

Cody, I didn't know they were bringing back a military series, sounds neat.

It is a nice smile, I have a few, but I don't have a need for so many so I let them go. Happy collecting!

I've recently (this year, anyway) picked up several new (to me) JL military rigs....a half-track with AA battery in the back, an M3 Lee Tank, a GMC Deuce-and-a-half (with a full load of sandbags?), and a Dodge WC54 in Military Police livery, all at Hobby Lobby. Don't know off hand if those are from the "new" series Cody mentioned; they're part of the 6-piece "Greatest Generation" "WWII Allied Victory" series. The copyright date on the card IS 2018, so maybe it's the set Cody was talking about.

I have a couple of older JLs in the WWII theme: another half-track w AA battery, different camo (Battle of the Bulge--Allied Powers Prevail); and a Jeep with a WWI-style machine gun mounted in back (D-Day, Invasion of Normandy). They're both from a 2002 series. I believe somewhere I have the WC54 Ambulance....but I may be confusing a Racing Champions model of that with a JL version listed as part of the WWII "Greatest Generation" series. Probably the same casting, just packaged/branded differently?
