As to Stutz's post in the Hot Wheels bay, this pic if his HW Motoring Music series display rocked my boat big time. I had never seen or heard of this set and think it's one of the coolest HW set I have ever seen. I will now be on one of the most intense hobby hunts since I have been collecting. Thanks so much for this pic Stutz!!!

It took me awhile to acquire that Motorin' Music set. It came out around the time that I first started collecting. It was fetching high secondary market prices so I had to wait.

As for the JL's, I pick up one for a sample in my collection but I don't recall which one.

I'm happy you like the Motorin' Music set Steve. Hope you get one soon. :toy:

I only bought the Cobra and GTO from the JL Rock 'n' Rollers.

I HEARD A RUMOR YEARS AGO THAT JL WANTED TO MAKE ROCK "n" ROLLERS WITH A MUSTANG WITH "MUSTANG SALLY" BY WILSON PICKETT, BUT THERE WERE ISSUES.

That would have been an AWESOME item! So many nice JL Mustang cars could have been chosen, it would be hard to pick one. The Mustang collectors would have been happy.

How about the "A" side from "SS396": "Corvair Baby"? I have a few of those 33 1/3's in my collection of Corvair related stuff.

STUTZ - Wilson Pickett narrowed down the selection of what car to use in the lyrics: "I bought you a brand-new Mustang, a 1965" "RIDE, SALLY, RIDE"!

Are those records or cds? Do they actually play? The cars are very rare, aren't they? They all have great paint schemes.
